General Area of Interest and/or Specialty:

Focus on community and public health nutrition education. Food security is also an area of interest. Special interests on nutrition during the lifecycle as well as carotenoid research.

Description of current research and/or professional activities:

Current research interests are directed towards issues of food security, food and nutrition practices, and the integration of research into the dietetics and nutrition curriculum. The Dietetics Program, Animal and Nutritional Sciences Department and Office of Sponsored Research are collaborating on a comprehensive assessment designed to examine the food, nutrition and agriculture environments and practices of the University community.
