    Structural Response to Stress

My specialization is cellular biology. A major focus in my lab is the rapid turnover of cellular membranes and factors which control or regulate that turnover.
Other interests include cytoplasmic organization and development in the green algal coenocytes Caulerpa and Codium and the mechanisms that drive the slow opening and rapid closing of the Venus flytrap.
Currently I teach Principles of Biology, Eukaryotic Cell and Developmental Biology, Plant Anatomy, and Techniques in Electron Microscopy.
I hope you'll visit my lab page for an in-depth profile of interests and activities.
